Acid catalysts from rice husk ash： Catalytic activity in dehydration of pentoses
第二屆國際生物質催化煉製大會（CATBIOR 2013）——Sulfated zirconia-waste obtained from rice husk is a promising catalyst for the dehydration of pentoses using water as a solvent, since at 140℃ the catalysts achieved a 40% of selectivity at 98% of conversion. The use of ultrasound during the aging decreases the synthesis time without significantly affecting the structural characteristics of the solids.
