Exploring new technologies to synthesize maleic acid from the renewable furfural
第二屆國際生物質催化煉製大會（CATBIOR 2013）——Using oxygen as the terminal oxidant,a new synthetic route to maleic acid has been successfully explored through furfural oxidation with copper(Ⅱ)/HPA or HPA alone as catalyst;a preliminary mechanism has also been propose as well.In the future,developing new catalytic technologies for renewable furfural transformation to C4 products (maleic acid) and C5 products.
