Use of Rare Earth Elements in Investigations of Aeolian Processes
The Eighth International Conference on Aeolian Research(ICAR VIII)——Consider that we can add a unique chemical tracer to a landscape and track that tracer through space and time.If the chemical tracer is intimely tied to the soil particles forming the surface of the landscape ,we can learn about and perhaps quantify redistribution of soil on the landscape.Rare Earth Elements(REE) are ideally suited for this task.
